August Favourites!

August is one of my favourites (my birthday's on the 30th!) haha, but I really have tried new make up and mixed up my fashion a bit this month.

My first favourite is the Sigma flat top synthetic kabuki- F80. It's densely packed bristles make for superb blending and the fact that it's synthetic pleases me even more. I just find that synthetic brushes are easier to clean and use. I use this brush mainly for foundation but I did try it with my Clinique powder. It definitely gives you more coverage because of the density of the bristles it creates a thicker coverage. You can also get them in the UK now from Cocktail cosmetics, this brush is £15.95.

My second favourite of the month has got to be a Mac lipstick in the colour chatterbox. I purchased it online thinking because it was an amplified finish that it would be a lot brighter than it is. It's a muted dusky rose pink colour with a semi matte finish and to tell you the truth I love it! Since August has been a month of late nights and early mornings and humid weather, I have been liking the simple make up look, and this lipstick is the perfect finish.

Third on the list is the Primark fashion (false) nails. I've already done a post on these here. Although my favourite ones this month have been pretty french manicure ones with a bow.

I also picked these ones up recently which I can't wait to try!

They're only £1.00!!

The oh- so famous Urban Decay Naked palette is fourth favourite this month. Specifically the colours virgin and sin. I love putting virgin all over the eyelid for a simple easy eye and sin as a highlight especially on my cupids bow. They're fantastic quality eyeshadows that you definitely won't regret buying.
Last on the list this month is Rimmel wake me up concealer . Now, I used to hate this product, loved the foundation but this did nothing for me, I didn't feel like it was thick enough to cover anything. But this month I tried it again and have been loving using it under my eyes to cover any dark circles. It's a lot thinner consistence in comparison to the collection lasting finish concealer but blends gorgeously for a nice finish.

Hope you enjoyed! What's you favourites this month? Cam xxxx

An MUA gem!

As you all probably know MUA are a company that sell super cheap make up products that are reasonably good quality. I believe they are only sold in superdrug stores and started off with they're £1 range, the lipsticks are a great product of theirs especially for the price.

I always have a look at the MUA stand just to see if there's anything that catches my eye. They've recently launched a collection based around one direction and although I'm not a super fan, I will admit a few of their songs are a little bit catchy. That had nothing to do with my intrigue about this little gem. It is a cheek tint that you can also use on your lips, it's called 'what makes you beautiful cheek tint' in the shade pink explosion. They've used One Direction lyrics to name each product.

Prepare yourself for the next picture- it's truly scary!

Yes I know I look ridiculous but you had to see how pigmented it was!
Without flash
with flash,
Revlon also recently launched a cheek and lip tint stick type product but their retails at ..... compared to this MUA version that'll set you back a mere £3.00. The pigmentation is crazy! and the staying power is great. It's easy to blend, although you really don't need a lot at all. All in all I don't have a bad word to say about this product, the packaging is quite nice, although the name is slightly cheesy it doesn't really bother me.Have you tried any MUA products? What do you think of the brand? Cam xxxx

Sinful colors-Snow Me White.

Since we've been having all this amazing weather in the uk, I have been loving wearing light colour nail varnishes, especially white. I will admit some white polishes look like tipex, but I really like this one. Sinful colors have some really nice colours and this is one of my top picks from them. I love using the Sally Hansen shine topcoat with this, it just makes it look nicer I think. They aren't the longest lasting nail polishes but for £1.99 you can't go wrong! I also love a good name on a product ( is that sad? anyway...) and this one is pretty good, playing off snow white, I quite like it. All in all this nail polish is a huge thumbs up from me!
