November Favourites- Beauty edition.

Hey guys!

First of all, I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by! We're in December which means only one thing is on my mind= Christmasss! I love this time of year, it's definitely my favourite season. Anyway aside from that, today I have my November favourites for you! I have a couple of bits but not too much as I've been putting money aside for Christmas presents instead of treating myself too much.

My first favourite this month is something I've looked at a few times in Boots but for some reason never bought it and that product is Bourjois' Volume clubbing waterproof mascara in the colour Black party. This time of year sends my eyes into a watery mess pretty much every time I step outside. The cold weather makes my eyes water, so I figured it's about time to buy a waterproof mascara and considering Bourjois mascara's have never let me down, I figured I'd give this one a go! The packaging is nice, easy  to open, easy to use, overall good. I also noticed on the back that Bourjois tested this product at foam parties, which definitely helped me pick this one, If it lasted a foam party then it must be good right? Well I have to say I like this mascara, it gives nice volume and length to my eyelashes and sticks well through all the tears but is also relatively easy to get off with make up remover at night. I like the brush because it's bristles rather than plastic and it's a cone type shape where the bristles get longer and thicker at one end and get thinner and shorter towards the tip- ideal for getting into the inside corner lashes.  My only fault with this mascara is I wish it was darker, I like to add a darker colour underneath just to make it deeper.

My second favourite is another new product to me and it is Rimmel's spark it up! Gleaming eye darkening liner in the shade 300 ultraviolet. I picked this up from a local beauty outlet for just £1.29 which was a steal! I have been loving this liner towards the end of November simply because it's different to your usual black eyeliner. It gives your make up a different edge and I like that. It's dark enough to look good but has a purple hint that bring out the colour of my eyes. I really suggest picking it up if you come across- it's such a nice product and superb for the party season.

Another Rimmel product made it into this month's favourites which is a re-discovery for me. It is the Stay matte long lasting pressed powder. This powder is all round great, it is long lasting, it keeps my face matte nearly all day and it's a super reasonable price. It doesn't go cakey if you touch up and doesn't cling too much to dry patches. Its a great staple for anyone's make up bag.

Since it's in the autumn/winter I decided to dig out the maroon/burgundy make up products in my collection and one that I'm loving again this year is a creme blend blush from Mac in the shade Restores dazzle! I love creme blushes and this colour is perfect for this time of year. I do believe this one was part of a collection but I'm sure Mac do other similar colours. A stippling brush is great for this type of product. You really don't need a lot at all.

My final favourite for November was the Real Techniques pixel-point eyeliner brush. I've neglected gel eyeliner for a long time and I'm glad to be using it again. For a while I took a break from wearing any black liner but I have to admit I miss it. This brush is perfect for a precise line. It's great with black eyeshadow aswell as gel liner. I love using this brush much more than any other liner brushes I have, I highly suggested picking it up. I bought it with the eye set from Real Techniques. They're great quality brushes for the price!

So that's the end of my favourites for November, I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you in January for my December favourites! Merry Christmas if you don't come back for another post before then!

What I wore- wednesday

Hey guys! Today I thought I'd share what I wore on my face with you.

(Let's ignore the mad hair eh? )

ooh lovely side profile! ;)

Base- A mixture of a Guerlain beautybooster in the shade light and L'oreal true match foundation in the shade CI ivory rose.

Bronzer for contouring- Mac hibiscus kiss from the Riri collection.
For a bronzed glow I used Guerlain Terra Ora sculting powder.
I used Nars Deep throat blusher on the apples of my cheeks.
Highlight on my cheeks I used Mac's cream colour base in Pearl.

On my eyes I used elf primer with a bit of mac morning frost paint pot over the top. On the outer corners I used pink T from the Soap and glory tricks of the shade palette. (Although I'm pretty sure you can get it in one of their quads too!) I then used Vanilla from the same palette on the inner half of my eyelid. With Diamonddust as a highlight on my tear duct area and on my brow bone. I swept a light line of the dark shimmery brown from the Sleek storm palette under my eye. I used Soap and glory supercat liquid black eyeliner pen to create a small flick. And to finish my eye I used Topshop mascara 'Lash catcher' from the sisters of the moon collection (most Topshop mascara's are the same just in different packaging).

And finally I used Mac's embrace me lipstick for the gorgeous neon pink on my lips.

We had to have a 'deep in thought' photo didn't we?

August Favourites!

August is one of my favourites (my birthday's on the 30th!) haha, but I really have tried new make up and mixed up my fashion a bit this month.

My first favourite is the Sigma flat top synthetic kabuki- F80. It's densely packed bristles make for superb blending and the fact that it's synthetic pleases me even more. I just find that synthetic brushes are easier to clean and use. I use this brush mainly for foundation but I did try it with my Clinique powder. It definitely gives you more coverage because of the density of the bristles it creates a thicker coverage. You can also get them in the UK now from Cocktail cosmetics, this brush is £15.95.

My second favourite of the month has got to be a Mac lipstick in the colour chatterbox. I purchased it online thinking because it was an amplified finish that it would be a lot brighter than it is. It's a muted dusky rose pink colour with a semi matte finish and to tell you the truth I love it! Since August has been a month of late nights and early mornings and humid weather, I have been liking the simple make up look, and this lipstick is the perfect finish.

Third on the list is the Primark fashion (false) nails. I've already done a post on these here. Although my favourite ones this month have been pretty french manicure ones with a bow.

I also picked these ones up recently which I can't wait to try!

They're only £1.00!!

The oh- so famous Urban Decay Naked palette is fourth favourite this month. Specifically the colours virgin and sin. I love putting virgin all over the eyelid for a simple easy eye and sin as a highlight especially on my cupids bow. They're fantastic quality eyeshadows that you definitely won't regret buying.
Last on the list this month is Rimmel wake me up concealer . Now, I used to hate this product, loved the foundation but this did nothing for me, I didn't feel like it was thick enough to cover anything. But this month I tried it again and have been loving using it under my eyes to cover any dark circles. It's a lot thinner consistence in comparison to the collection lasting finish concealer but blends gorgeously for a nice finish.

Hope you enjoyed! What's you favourites this month? Cam xxxx

An MUA gem!

As you all probably know MUA are a company that sell super cheap make up products that are reasonably good quality. I believe they are only sold in superdrug stores and started off with they're £1 range, the lipsticks are a great product of theirs especially for the price.

I always have a look at the MUA stand just to see if there's anything that catches my eye. They've recently launched a collection based around one direction and although I'm not a super fan, I will admit a few of their songs are a little bit catchy. That had nothing to do with my intrigue about this little gem. It is a cheek tint that you can also use on your lips, it's called 'what makes you beautiful cheek tint' in the shade pink explosion. They've used One Direction lyrics to name each product.

Prepare yourself for the next picture- it's truly scary!

Yes I know I look ridiculous but you had to see how pigmented it was!
Without flash
with flash,
Revlon also recently launched a cheek and lip tint stick type product but their retails at ..... compared to this MUA version that'll set you back a mere £3.00. The pigmentation is crazy! and the staying power is great. It's easy to blend, although you really don't need a lot at all. All in all I don't have a bad word to say about this product, the packaging is quite nice, although the name is slightly cheesy it doesn't really bother me.Have you tried any MUA products? What do you think of the brand? Cam xxxx

Sinful colors-Snow Me White.

Since we've been having all this amazing weather in the uk, I have been loving wearing light colour nail varnishes, especially white. I will admit some white polishes look like tipex, but I really like this one. Sinful colors have some really nice colours and this is one of my top picks from them. I love using the Sally Hansen shine topcoat with this, it just makes it look nicer I think. They aren't the longest lasting nail polishes but for £1.99 you can't go wrong! I also love a good name on a product ( is that sad? anyway...) and this one is pretty good, playing off snow white, I quite like it. All in all this nail polish is a huge thumbs up from me!

What's your favourite polish at the moment? Cam xxxx

Glitter wars.

Glitter nail varnishes are the bomb. You know they are. I love using glitter on an accent nail or just layering them on every nail and having disco ball nails, haha. 3 of my favourites so far are-
Models own- ibiza mix (on the right)
Models own- Boogie nights (on the left)
Barry M nail paint- Amethyst glitter.

One coat.

Two coats.

Three coats.
These polishes are ideal for top coats or on their own. Barry M's nail paint in Amethyst glitter is definitely the most opaque out of three, both model's own polishes came up similar in opacity.
Ibiza mix is a good one to layer on top of bright colours, it has multiple colours of glitter in it, and different sizes. Boogie nights looks good over purple's mainly, it has different sizes and shapes of lilac, pink and blue. The lilac pieces can look holographic when it's in the light. I love using glitter on an accent nails, and the chunkiness of the models own glitters make them really stand out.

Glitters are my favourite type of polish and these three are probably my favourite ones. Although I hate waiting for polish to dry and the Models own ones aren't exactly fast. The Barry M polish definitely dries quicker. Another problem that comes with glitter polish is taking it off, although I prefer the model's own colours the barry M one comes off easier.

The Models own ones retail at £5.00 and the Barry M £2.99.
You can pick up the Barry M one here, and the models own ones here.

What do you think about glitter nail polishes? Which are your fave?

Super sunny outfit of the day!

I apologise in advance for the poor background.... think of it as messy chic?  We're having building done outside and I had no one to take the picture for me, so a cringy photo in the mirror it had to be.

Sunglasses never have suited me, I still insist on wearing them though.

Where is your outfit from?

- Dress is from the Cameo & Rose concession in New Look- On sale for £12 at the moment!
- Lilac Sandals- Primark £3.50.

Why is my handbag so heavy?!

I thought today I'd do a 'What's in my bag post'. *Little disclaimer* like all bloggers say, I haven't sorted out what's in my bag, this just happens to be what's in there.

I'm such a hoarder, my bag constantly weighs a ton. I bought the bag years ago from Miss Selfridge but it's a pretty basic bag just with the big gold chain on the front.

So what's in there I hear you ask...

A good few make up products, haha, including

  • a Real Techniques brush
  • No.7 powder brush
  • 2 face powders- Maybelline fit me and Max factor one.
  • 3 lip products- Sleek lipstick in Mystic, Mac lipstick in Party Parrot and a rosy lips Vaseline.
  • 2 mascara's- Mini Benefit they're real and Maybelline the Colossal volum' express cat eyes.
  • Benefit Sun beam ( which I'm loving at the moment!)
  • Nail Varnish from Revlon- Strawberry Electric.

  • 2 pairs of sunglasses, a glasses case which doesn't match either pairs of sunglasses. (My normal glasses would normally be in there too, but I'm currently wearing them, haha,)
  •  Denman hairbrush.
  • J-Lo glowing perfume. This is my handbag perfume because to be honest it's not my favourite so I don't mind carrying it in there so much.
  • 1 Pen.
  • A half a pack of Extra chweing gum- Spearmint ;)
  • One bobble and a few bobby pins.
  • A pair of earrings from New Look I think, a ring, toe ring from River Island and a Virgo necklace.

  • Clinique mirror- super handy size!
  • My house and car keys.
  • My purse-  which is the brand BIBA and I bought it in House of fraser about a year ago.

Hope you enjoyed the sneak peak inside my bag!

June empties!

Hey Guys!
I know, I'm sorry I'm late with this post. But then again, better late than never eh? So let's get started. I was pretty impressed with myself this month, I finished quite a few products. I'm going to try and keep it brief, we've got a lot to get through, hahha.

The first product is the - Olay gentle cleansers conditioning milk. It's for normal/dry combination skin. The bottle contains 200ml.
This product was a bit of a meh for be, I don't really think it did much. It was ok, it didn't break me out but as far as cleansing it's not the best I've ever used.
- Garnier moisture match- dull skin 1.5ml.
This sample came in my magazine and I really enjoyed it, I'll definitely buy the full size soon.

- Superdrug 100% pure cotton wool round pads- 100 pads.
A basic product, but a good one, they're a good size for removing make up and nail varnish. It's likely I will buy these again.

- Max factor face finity 3 in 1 foundation- primer, concealer and foundation in one. SPF 20 light ivory 40- 30ml.
It's not that often I get through a whole foundation but I liked this quite alot. It did have quite a thick consistency which I liked and the coverage was good. It didn't cling to dry patches or make me look oily. I'd definitely consider re-purchasing this in the autumn/winter.

- YSL everlong mascara- 9ml.
This is a great product, I loved this. It doesn't give you clumpy eyelashes and it doesn't flake off. It's an all round good product in my eyes!

- Mac penultimate eye liner- rapidblack- 1.0g.
Again I loved this product! The tip is super thin which makes it so easy to create a good line. It's a deep black colour and it's not overly matte or 'shiny'. I'll definitely be buying this again!

- Dove go fresh anti-perspirant deodrant- 0% alcohol 48h, energising grapefruit and lemongrass scent. 250ml. Another love, the scent reminds me of summer and it works. I'll re- purchase this again.

- Sure women crystal clear diamond- 24hr, 0% alcohol. Incredible white mark protection. I've not noticed any problems with the white marks, all in all it's on of the best deodrants for me. You get 250ml. The can claims it is special edition but It's normally in shops. A good all round deodrant, it smells good and works well, again I'd re-purchase this deodrant.

- LUSH turkish delight shower smoothie- 90g,  First of all Lush have an offer where if you take back 5 pots you get free face mask which normally cost around £5. I love this product and I'm looking to buy it again, it's smells lovely and feels super smooth on the skin.

- Ro's Argan body conditioner- 45g. This product is similar to the new Nivea in shower conditioner, although this is definitely thicker and in my opinion works better. It does leave a smooth layer over your skin, slightly like an oil but not as greasy. I'd love to buy this again.

Have you shop'd your stash lately?
