Possibility shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath.

Today's post is about new shower gels that I'm really liking at the moment. Shower gel is a bit of a weird item to blog about, agreed. But these make me feel festive so I thought I'd share them with you! My two favourites are the 'Vanilla creme brulee' and 'Ginger snap Cookies.' These are pretty similar to the Philosophy shower gels. They are triple use- shower gel, shampoo and bubble bath.

As bubble bath, I love them although you need quite a lot to create a decent amount of bubbles. But the scent lasts on your skin for a short time after you get out of the bath which I think is nice. I've never tried them as shampoo and as shower gel they're pretty good, they don't lather as much as I would like but they pretty much do the shop and I enjoy their scents. The Ginger snap cookie one has probably got to be my favourite. I've seen these for sale in Superdrug, Waitrose, and Savers. I believe they usually cost around £3.00- which is a steal for these products considering the Philosophy ones are around £14.00 each! You get 525ml in each bottle and the packaging is cute, they've written the recipe for whatever food scented one you buy. The bottles are clear with a black lid, all in all a nice design.

I definitely want to buy more of these. Have you ever tried them?

Hazelnut latte- perfection!

Latte's have recently become my favourite drink. Starbucks do the best- fact. (well...not really a fact but still, they're good. ) I usually have a 3/4 sugars in my latte which yes i know is pretty darn bad for me, but it tastes sooo much better! But occasionally I will swap my sugars for one or two shots of hazelnut syrup. Now since there isn't a starbucks in my local town, I have resorted to making my own at home- it's cheaper and I can have one anytime of day ;) In fact i'm drinking one right now. So I thought I'd let you know what I use.

The non- skinny version is good too!

Hazelnut syrup.

A pretty huge mug! ;)

They're so easy to make using these Nescafe sachets, no need for fancy coffee machines or amazing skills. I usually use a shot glass nearly full of the syrup and stir it in to the latte. They're amazing, you should definitely try them. Oh and the Nescafe sachets are between £2.00- £3.00 and same with the syrup. The mug is £5.00 from Cath Kidston.

What's you favourite drink?

RAVE REVIEW! Technic brilliant touch highlighter and blemish corrector.

Technic brilliant touch highlighter and blemish corrector has very quickly become one of my must have products. As I was searching through my make up stash to find something to make me look more alive after a 'no sleep whatsoever kinda night' (ok, well I did have half an hour sleep...) I came across this magnificent product. I will say, I didn't hold out much hope for this product at first against the extremely dark circles under my eyes, but to my surprise it worked a treat!

As you can see this product is quite pink, which again didn't fill me with hope when I looked at it, but this product seems to reflect light and makes your face glow. Looking at this product, I have noticed it is slightly similar to Benefits High Beam, although this is definitely more of a concealer formula. I much prefer using this as an under eye concealer rather than on spots, I feel it draws attention to any blemishes. I do set this with a powder otherwise I have found on the occasional day that it will crease under my eye area but that doesn't change my love for this product at all. The only downfall to this product is that there's only one shade. Being relatively pale this works on my complexion, obviously this unfortunately will not suit darker skin tones.

Sorry for the rubbish photo's, new set up soon!

Without flash.

With flash.
It has a brush applicator and is super easy to use and blend. The packaging is pretty simple, the only problem is the packaging rubs off after a while but at such a cheap price, I can't complain!

But all in all this is one fab product that is only £2.99! I am aware that the shop 'body care' sells some technic products, but I'm not sure how widely available those shops are, but I have found an online shop that sells it!

Buy it here!

Thank you for reading my blog!

You can't have a better tomorrow, if you don't stop thinking about yesterday...

This is going to be an unusal post as far as my blog goes. Basically 'You can't have a better tomorrow, if you don't stop thinking about yesterday' is one of my recent favourite quotes and I thought I'd share it and tell you all why.
The first reason as to why I like this quote-  It makes sense. It's not too complex, it doesn't have a really deep meaning, it does what it say on the tin basically.
The second reason- I am quite a pessamist and I can't help it, it's just the way I'm made and the way I think, therefore this is the perfect quote for me.
Third reason- I think many more of us should try and live by this quote.

Recently I hit a rough patch in my life, being the summer holidays I didn't have too much to take my mind of anything that happened around me. During the holidays one of my family members ended up having quite major surgery, my boyfriend broke up with me and my exam results weren't as I hoped.

So basically I had a few weeks of serious rubbishness, me and my now ex split on our 3 month anniversary a week before my dad had surgery. And then a week after my dad's operation, came my exam results. Obviously I was gutted, when me and my ex split, it was a complete surprise, he just didn't feel the same way that I did, but we've decided that we can still be friends, Luckily my dad's operation went ok and he was out of hospital a week later. ( bearing in mind he'd already been there for about 5 weeks) but being the pessamist I am, nothing was looking very positive. When I picked up my exam results I knew what was coming- I had completely messed up my last year ( year 12) I didn't revise for my A/S exams, I barely turned up for some of my lessons and I couldn't concentrate when I did. I knew I'd messed up but still I hoped that it wouldn't be too bad.

But after an emotional couple of weeks, one day browsing on the internet i stumbled across this quote and it is really inspiring. Everytime I'm feeling down or sad about something, I remember that quote and try and carry on the rest of my day as normal. It definitely true- why live in the past? When you have the whole future to look forward to.

NYC all day long foundation.

Today's blogpost is going to be on the NYC all day long foundation. NYC claims that this is foundation lasts up to 14 hours. They also claim that this foundation controls shine providing a smooth matte effect all day long. I completely agree. This has definitely been a monthly favourite! This foundation comes in a fair amount of shades considering it is a drugstore foundation. I have it in the shade 737 classic ivory and it is a lovely match for my skin. Unfortunately I don't think that NYC cater for darker skins in this foundation. This foundation will cost you only £3.99 for 27.3ml, which is slightly smaller than most foundations but so is the price- so I can't complain. Which in my opinion is absolutely amazing, this is such a good product.
737- classic ivory.
The packaging isn't anything fancy, but it does the job and I like the fact it has a pump. It also comes with a clear lid which I've managed to misplace...

Taken with flash.

According to NYC this foundation is suitable for all skin types, but I do feel as though it is fairly drying therefore I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone with dry skin. This foundation does flashback a bit in photo's when using flash, I wouldn't wear this to an event where i'm going to have my photo taken alot. But all in all I love this foundation. There isn't much that I could say I dislike about it. I will most definitely be re-purchasing this foundation sometime in the future!
You can buy this foundation from superdrug.

Have you ever tried any NYC foundations? Let me know what you think about them.

Avobath Bath Bomb from Lush.

Avobath is one amazing bath bomb. After talking to a lovely member of staff from Lush, he told me about the Avobath bath bomb, and I was rather surprised that I hadn't tried this one before!

Avacado, Olive oil and Lemongrass.

Thought I'd add a photo of the bath bomb in the bath, hehe.

I adore the citrusy scent, the lemongrass really stands out. And although I prefer to take bath's during the evening, this is the perfect bath bomb for that wake me up feeling in the morning! It does release some sort of shimmer or very fine glitter once it has dissolved but it doesn't stick to the skin at all. The scent lingers on the skin, but not for as long as I would like, it disappears after a couple of hours, but I do think that the Avobath left my skin feeling quite soft. At £3.20 each the Avobath is one of Lush's more expenisve Bath bombs, but I would most definitely purchase this one again and would recommend it to anyone who needs a bit of a wake up in the morning!

You can buy Avobath in store or on the Lush website.

Have you tried the Avobath? What are your thoughts?

NOTD- Topshop- Hidden treasure.

As I perused the make up stand in Topshop, I came across this beauty and instantly fell in love!

I find duo-chrome nail polishes hard to like, they usually have a weird brown colour in most lighting, which I'm not a big fan of, but this nail polish is definitely an exception. Whatever light I look at this nail polish in, I still love it.
and at £6 I felt that it is definitely worth the price tag even if it is on the higher end of drugstore nail polishes. 2 coats is easily enough, and it lasts days without chipping. I could easily go a week without having to re-apply this nail polish. This is definitely a hidden treasure!

Which is your favourite nail polish of the moment? Let me know in the comments!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture cream review.

Today's post is going to be on The Body Shop's Vitamin E moisture cream. Basically having combination/oily skin I find it hard to find moisturisers that don't increase the oil on my face and don't break me out. But this is my miracle moisturiser! This moisturiser is recommended for all skin types.

As you can see, this has had plenty of love!

Not only does it keep my face soft, I feel as though it reduces the amount of oil my face produces. Aswell as that vitamin E is famous for helping skin cells renew, which is perfect for people with acne scarring such as my self. Although I haven't noticed a dramatic change in the way my acne scarring looks, I still love this moisturiser.

It has a relatively thin consistency and is slightly fragranced but as I said previously not enough to break me out, you get a decent amount of 50ml and a little definitely goes a long way.
It is £10 at The Body Shop but I feel as though it is definitely worth the money! I apply it every morning before my make up, I don't usually apply it before bed but only because I like to use something a little thicker.

As well as being a fabulous product The Body Shop doesn't test on animals. The packaging isn't amazing but that doesn't bother me to much because of the product inside.

So overall I'm pretty sure I will re-purchase this moisturiser, and I would recommend it to anyone! What's your favourite moisturiser?

Dry lips- cured!

I've recently had incredibly dry chapped lips, I think it's due to the mad changes in weather we've had recently in the UK! So I thought i'd show you all what I use to combat my dryness...

First of all I use the Lush lip scrub in Bubblegum, this product is amazing for removing dead skin from your lips. You simply swipe it on to your lips and lick it off ( or for those who are hygiene freaks, yes you can use a tissue to take it off.) You can grab this from Lush in-store or online for £4.95, they also do a chocolate mint and a mint flavoured lip scrub. Although originally I thought that £4.95 was a little steep for this product, I've since realised that it's definitely worth the money. You also get 25g in this small pot and it is going to last for a very long time!

My next favourite product to use at the moment is the Burts Bees lipbalm with mango butter. This is one of my all time favourite lip products and I use this every morning and night. You can get this lipbalm for around £3.69 at Boots. It's one of the most moisturising lipbalms that I have ever used it's 100% natural and isn't hasn't been tested on animals!

The last two products I love are my anatomicals never lose your cherry lip balm and my rose and almond oil vaseline. The anatomicals lipbalm has a strong fruity scent, I enjoy using this over any drying lipsticks and this is always in my handbag. The rose and almond oil Vaseline is also quite heavily scented, I think this product is going to be a love it or hate it type. Although this isn't as moisturising as the other products I still enjoy using it, and I love the pink tint that it gives to my lips when I'm not wearing any other product on my lips. I believe that the Vaseline is the cheapest out of the products I use, but I still believe it's a wonderful product. You can get both the anatomicals lip balm and the Vaseline from Boots.

If you have any recommendations of any other great products, please leave a comment, Id love to see what they are!
I also have Instagram now :) - camille_taylor

NOTD- BMX Bandit.

I've recently hit a wall with nail polish, I haven't found a colour that I love and get excited to wear. So I searched through my nail polish collection and found this beauty that ashamedly I hadn't even worn once!

The name makes me feel slightly rebellious wearing it ( yes, that's sad I know ) but the colour also i reminds me of elderly people, a kind of 'blue rinse' colour.

Sorry, the photo isn't great but you can see the colour
and that's the main thing :)

I applied two coats of BMX Bandit and one of this glittery nail polish which strangely doesn't have a brand name or colour name.
Collection 2000 nail polishes are a steal at only £1.79! You can get these nail polishes here or at any Boots, Superdrug, or supermarket that stocks Collection 2000.

Dior Amber Diamond!

This weekend I was so excited to realise that a shop in my town sold Dior products, upon realising this I treated myself to the Diorskin shimmer powder in 002 Amber Diamond!

I am already in love with this product, it looks amazing in photo's and gives a gorgeous glow!

The packaging is gorgeous as you would expect for a product that costs £32.00. I don't often purchase highlights because i have oily skin and most often find then too much, but this is definitely worth the quite expensive price tag!

The lady in the shop mentioned that these were being discontinued, if anyone knows if they are please let me know,
Which is your fave highlight?

Lip product haul!

I literally spent saturday buying lip products, so I thought i'd show you what I got!

(From left to right- Gosh lipstick147 Sunrise, Gosh lipstick 66 Bourgogne, Gosh jumbo lipgloss pencil 02 Flamenco Coral, No 7 Blooming pink. Underneath from left to right - Gosh velvet touch lipliner Simply red, Gosh velvet touch lipliner Nougat crisp.)

Superdrug at the moment is having a Gosh clearance and I found all of the Gosh products in their clearance section!  Both lipsticks and the lipgloss pencil where £3, both lipliners where £2 and the No.7 lipstick is from Boots, the No.7 lipstick was £10.

Sunrise- the Gosh orange lipstick is quite sheer compared to the other lipsticks but you can still clearly see the colour on your lips when it's applied. Bourgogne seems to have bit of a silver undertone but seems quite matt at the same time which I think makes this lipstick so unusual, but my favourite lipstick has to be the No.7 Blooming pink. The colour is gorgeous and I can see me wearing this colour alot during spring/summer. The colour is quite matt but has a slight sheen, the lipstick is relatively long lasting and reasonably moisturising. I'm not sure if I think that £10 is reasonable for this lipstick, but I do think that the colour is!

Both lipliners claim to be waterproof and as far as I have tested they do live up to what I expected. Simply red is a gorgeous classic red, whereas nougat crisp is a brown nude which is absolutely stunning. The Flamenco coral jumbo lipgloss pencil I would say is more of a lipstain than lipgloss. It is a lovely coral colour which is going to be perfect for summer, but the gloss aspect of the pencil doesn't last very long and leaves a coral stain on the lips but overall I do like it.

Have you got anything from the Superdrug clearance? I'd love to know if you have got anything!

Saturday 25 February 2012

I went to Superdrug today and decided to pick up two things from the love hearts for MUA collection. I thought that the colour choice wasn't amazing so I ended up getting two nude coloured things. First of all I got a nail varnish in I <3 u, which is a pinker nude.

I love this colour and it'll be great for work or school.
I also bought a lip balm in Great lips, which is a browner nude.

P.s please excuse my nail painting skills...

I love the faint smell that the lip balm has, it smells a bit like toffee and it has a very creamy texture.
Both of the pieces were £2 each.

Have you tried out any of this collection? If you have which bits are your favourite?

Sleek Blush by 3 collection.

This is going to be my first post on this blog, so here it goes!
I love Sleek makeup and when they brought out their new blush by 3 range I got rather excited! So I currently only have one of their trio's but I also picked up a single blush while I was at Superdrug.

The single blush I bought is Suede which is part of the Sleek Nude collection, so I'm not sure if this will be available permanently. This blush is the perfect nude/brown for paler skin tones.  It blends lovely and is higly pigmented.

Sleek packaging is fine in my opinion, i like the design, although one con is that I find that similar to Nars products they do get dirty fairly quickly.
The single blush is £4.29 which is very reasonable for 8g of product and the pigmentation of the blush is amazing.

The blush by 3 palette I decided to buy was the Pumpkin 363. I fell in love with the colour and cannot wait to buy another palette. These colours will be beautiful for summer.
The red in this palette seems as though it has glitter in it but when it's blended out the glitter can't be seen at all. The red is the only blush in this palette that isn't matt.
All of the colour in this palette have great pigmentation and they're pretty easy to blend.

The blush by 3 palette is £9.99 which makes it under £4.00 per blush- excellent value!

I love Sleek blushers and I think they are great quality for the price, I will definately be purchasing more. Have you tried Sleek blush? What did you think about them?
