Fed up of expensive trips to the salon? Check out Primark's fake nails!

Hey guys!

I am one of the worst people ever at painting my nails, and then picking it all off as soon as I'm nervous. Fake nails are a life saver! A few weeks ago I picked up the polka- dot ones from Primark and thought I'd give 'em a go. The sizes are perfect for my nails, a few of the sizes fit my nails, so I could use the set more than once. Last week I also bought the ladybird ones, which are super cute! They're both the same quality, which is pretty good quality fairplay. I don't use the glue that comes with them, because I use my nailene glue on all of my fake nails. The glue costs around £2.50 and you can get it from Boots, Superdrug or Tesco, and loads of other places probably do it too though. They don't snap easily and last me up to a week before I change them, they'd probably last longer but I'm so fussy. Each pack of nails costs £1. I really recommend picking some up! They have loads of different prints. Ones I've seen lately include cheetah print, red and white polka- dot, and french manicure.

Current favourites!

Current favourite number 1 is- Soap and Glory bright here bright now instant- radiance energy balm (Long name I know). I tried this about 6 months ago and hated it, but I decided to give it another go and I love it. I think the problem was before I had very oily skin, now that's calmed down a bit it works well for my skin. I'd definitely recommend it if you have combination/dry or slightly oily skin.

Numero dos is- Clinique blended face powder (shade 03.) I'm not sure how I acquired this powder but I've never really used them up until now, I just wasn't happy with my Maybelline fit me powder, so I decided to give this ago- Love it! Blog post with more details will be up soon!

Number 3 is a rather hyped product in the blogesphere which is Sinful colors nail colours. I believe they are readily available in the USA, but only recently have Boots began to sell them. I'm not a huge fan of painting my nails or spending a fortune on buying nail polish. Expensive or cheap it will chip within one or two days guaranteed, and I am so impatient waiting for them to dry. But these dry quickly and are only £1.99. Great products!

Number 4 is Real Techniques stippling brush. Nearly everyone now owns this brush, but I can definitely see why, it's fantastic quality, and it works well. I've been loving it for foundation this month.

Number 5 is a Revlon Colorstay which I actually picked up in a local store where everything is cheaper that it normally would be because the label on the packagings wrong, or the ingredients list is slightly worng etc. Since I'm praying for a bit of sun, I thought I'd just pretend it was sunny and use a bit of bronzer, it's a gorgeous product that is longwearing and gives such a nice bronzed/ tan look. It's available at amazon.

Number 6 is again a product nearly everyone has and it's the HD brows kit in Vamp. Not too much to say, just that's it's great, gives a very professional look and the colour I use is rich brown. You can get it from the HD Brows website.

Number 7 + 8 tie in together because I love using them together. They are the Collection shimmer shades in 2. Blushalicious and elf shimmer palette in sheer sunrise. The Collection shimmer shades give a lovely flush to the cheeks, I mix three of the shades together but I don't use the bottom colour on the right because I think it makes the blush too orange for my skintone. elf's shimmer palette has 4 different highlighters that all make you look dewy and fresh. I love them! I tend to use either the frosty white or the pink, on my cheekbones. Both products are very affordable aswell. You can get the elf one here, and the collection one here.

And last but not least number 8 is the beauty uk eyeshadow and eyeliner collection number 2. My friend persuaded me into buying this and I'm glad she did. To be honest I didn't think it was going to be very good at all but I was highly surprised, the eyeshadows are great quality and highly pigmented. They are slightly messy to work with because they're quite loose but for the price they're great. I'd definitely buy more of them. I haven't used the eyeliner on my eyes yet, but if it's anything like the eyeshadows I will be more than thrilled! You can get it here for £3.99.

Need to recover hungover hair? Avon conditioning balm review.

Hello guys!

My hair has been wrecked basically and anything that will even slightly repair it, I'm on it. I've bleached my hair numerous times, dyed it, used loads of heat, I really should stop... But one thing I've been using recently is this avon naturals conditioning balm. It contains almond oil and avocado. I couldn't find any exact instructions on how to use it, so I apply it after shampooing and I leave it on for between 2-5 minutes depending on how much of a rush I'm in. The packaging is ok, cream coloured pot with a screw off lid.

The texture is quite odd, it's slightly lumpy and looks a bit like melted marshmallow. The almond oil really comes through in the scent, it's quite sweet but it doesn't leave any scent on my hair. It leaves my hair feeling really soft and silky.  I wouldn't say it's the best conditioner I have ever used but for the £1.50 for 250ml I paid it's great. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the ordering process with Avon. I hate that you can't go into a shop and just buy it. It took me a month to get hold of the Avon stuff I had purchased whether that is because of the lady I ordered them through or the lengthy time Avon take to deliver I'm not sure, but it is a pain. But to end the post on a happier note I do enjoy using this product, and I'm eager to see what other products work as well from Avon.

P.s I will be holding a giveaway pretty soon, so follow to keep up to date on that!

Essie 'Bikini so teeny'

I'm trying to show you the silver sparkle, haha,

My first ever Essie polish and I must say they do live up to the hype! It's a gorgeous cornflower blue/lilac with tiny bits of silver glitter which aren't really visible when it's applied to the nails. But all in all I love it, and I'm sure I'll go back and buy some more. It's opaque with only two coats, and lasts fairly well. After I took the photo I added a sally hansen shine top coat which made it last slightly longer, but it lasted a good 2 days without chipping. Essie is available in Boots-  and fragrance direct have a sale on Essie at the moment- £1.99 each instead of the normal £7.99!
