Monthly favourites- November edition.

Hey guys!

This month I decided I wanted to use up a bit of the make up I just had lying around and try some new bits so of course I came across a couple of bits and bobs that I've decided are worthy to be shared as my monthly faves! My first favourite is a No.7 instant radiance foundation, admittedly I only recently purchased this so it is a bit of a cheat but since buying it I've fallen in love with it (maybe it's just a crush but at the moment in my books it is the dogs b******s) It gives me enough coverage without making me look heavy duty* ( *like I applied my foundation with a shovel). I'll give it a bit more testing but a review will be coming soon.

To accompany the no.7 foundation I have used the Burberry luminous fluid base in fresh glow nude radiance no.01. Originally I thought this was a primer but I have been told that it can be worn as a foundation, now for me the coverage is far too sheer but for those of you who have amazing skin this will be ideal! It gives a gorgeous subtle glow and mixed in with a foundation it makes an amazing finish. I love dewy foundations and this just adds a great touch. I have used it a couple of times with the no.7 foundation and I still think it works amazingly even though the no.7 foundation is dewy alone. I want to do a full review on this because it's a gorgeous product that should definitely get more hype.

Essence have recently become more available near me having a stand at Wilkinsons. The tube on this mascara is definitely what attracted me to buy it in the first place. Unlike other mascara's the packaging on this one is similar to a toothpaste tube so that you definitely get the most product for your money. It lengthens, volumises and darkens my lashes which is exactly what I look for in a mascara. The wand it bristles not plastic. This doesn't give me clumpy lashes but does give me a full lashes look but unbelievably natural. This has definitely been one of the top products I have tried this month and as soon as I run out I'm going to buy another.

Essentially my next favourite is brown eyeliner but the one I have been using is a limited edition Mac pear glide intense eyeliner in the shade 'Lord it up' from the Archie's girls collection. Collection, Gosh, Maybelline all do great brown eyeliners but this month I have been using this one and would say of you could get your hands on it somewhere then definitely give it a go. The formula glides on and is super smooth. It's a gorgeous warm brown that looks great with blue eyes. It is very comparable to the Urban Decay 24 hour glide on pencils, it lasts a good 6 hours+ and doesn't irritate my slightly sensitive eyes. My only fault on this eyeliner is sharpening it, I always end up wasting so much product. But if I ever run out I'd try and get hold of this one again.

A Bloggers favourite is next; the Bourjois delice de poudre duo- also known as the chocolate bronzer, Bourjois released this version which includes a highlighter. The bronzer is simply a great shade for lighter skin tones and would even be great on medium/ slightly darker skin tones. It isn't muddy, blends well and easy and doesn't break me out. I couldn't ask for anymore than that! But the highlighter is just as good, it's definitely not as amazing as some highlighters I own but it is good and gives a subtle but natural sheen. It's incredibly affordable and is much better than some high end bronzers that I have previously tried.

Another Essence product I have been enjoying is the XXXL long-lasting lipgloss in the shade 06 soft nude. Firstly I wouldn't describe this at a lipgloss but as something similar to the Bourjois velvet matte lipstick thing's. I would even go as far as to compare it to the famous Sephora version. I picked a nude colour because I've recently taken to the nude lip look but they do also have a bright red shade that I'll definitely have to pick up. The applicator isn't my favourite shape but then again it works. This shade is very Kylie Jenner/ 90's brown nude lip. The consistency is great and I'm loving wearing it for less vibrant more chilled out days.

The Maybelline jelly glow blushers were massively hyped by bloggers across the pond when they were released, not so much for their practicality but because they had an unusual texture, you can actually move the blush around in the pan without creating massive gauges or marks in the product. It is gimmicky but I like it. I actually found this one in T.K. Maxx and it has superb pigmentation. It's a great colour for my skin tone and ideal for transitioning into winter. It is a dusky dark pink. The colour stays on my cheeks all day and is easy to apply with my Real Techniques brush. If I see any other colours I'll be sure to pick them up.

I could go on about loads of products this month but I'll leave it there for today, I hope to upload a few reviews in the next couple of weeks so keep your eyes peeled!
Thank you for taking a look, hope you enjoyed it.

As soft as a baby's bum! HAIR FAVOURITES.

Hey guys!

Recently I have been trying to take a bit more care of my hair, especially considering I am trying to grow it. After bleaching my hair on and off for about two years my hair was very damaged and desperately needed a bit of TLC, so I went ahead and had quite a bit cut off. I desperately want to grow it and make it a bit healthier, so I thought I'd show you my favourite hair products at the moment that are working for me.

I'll start with shampoo- I have two favourite shampoo's at the moment, I still do really like the herbal essence coconut and shea butter range that I previously blogged about ( check that post out here) but I like to switch up my shampoo's and these two are really good. The first one I picked up is the Schwarzkopf Gliss liquid silk shampoo. I feel like this shampoo has been around for ages but only recently I tried it out. This shampoo made my hair sleek and shiny, it kept my hair feeling soft without weighing it down or making it look greasy. I'd definitely suggest picking this one up if you want softer hair. It's super cheap in places like savers or wilkinsons too!

The second shampoo is the Schwarzkopf essence Ultime biotin+ volume shampoo- This is definitely a 2014 favourite. I love this shampoo, similar to to the Gliss liquid silk it left my hair smooth, feeling soft and looking shiny. I can go 2/3 days without washing my hair if I use this shampoo which is amazing when normally It's near enough every day. I get amazing volume without any frizz. This one is slightly more expensive but deffo worth it!

Next up is the conditioners- I love the Catwalk by TIGI Curlesque range, the hydrating conditioner. This conditioner is a god send! It's amazing. My hair feel super soft after using it. It doesn't way my hair down and I don't get any build up from it. The smell is amazing and was the main reason I bought it. I dread running out but I'll definitely pick it up again when I do. It's not cheap but it is definitely worth it. B&M actually stock this product at the moment if you live anywhere near one.

I use hair masks once maybe twice a week and at the moment this one is the best. This Argan oil hydrating hair mask costs only 99p. This product is the bomb. It makes my hair super soft and silky, along with my shampoo's this makes my hair as soft as a baby's bum! My hair is dry and very damaged and this helps combat that. I would use it more often but it does slightly way my hair down, I wouldn't recommend it for anybody with very fine hair as I think it would probably leave your hair feeling flat, unless you used it just on the ends. But for me it works amazingly and I'll definitely pick up another one once I run out.

My favourite leave in products are the- Bumble and bumble thickening hairspray. This product has a great thickening effect, it adds volume and texture without making your hair sticky or stiff. This is fab especially because I need to nourish my hair that sometimes styling becomes difficult because my hair is so smooth or shiny so this spray helps to make styling a lot easier.
The last product is from the same range as the Argan oil hair mask and it is the argan oil hair treatment with moroccan and argan oil extract. This serum is only £1.99! This serum is definitely worth it. It smooths the hair really well and is amazing to de-frizz, this will help keep my hair smooth into the 2nd and possibly 3rd day. It doesn't leave my hair sticky or greasy at all, it's superb! You can pick up the argan oil products from places such as Homebargains.

What hair products are you loving at the moment?

What I wore- Wednesday!

Hey guys!

Today was a surprisingly nice day, the sun was out and the sky was nearly all blue except the odd cloud and I have to say it put a smile on my face. I miss the summer now, I want to see the sun shining everyday and a reason to eat loads of ice cream. I thought I'd take a couple of photo's of what I wore today, although the photo's don't do the outfit much justice I wanted to show you all anyway!

August Favourites!

August is one of my favourites (my birthday's on the 30th!) haha, but I really have tried new make up and mixed up my fashion a bit this month.

My first favourite is the Sigma flat top synthetic kabuki- F80. It's densely packed bristles make for superb blending and the fact that it's synthetic pleases me even more. I just find that synthetic brushes are easier to clean and use. I use this brush mainly for foundation but I did try it with my Clinique powder. It definitely gives you more coverage because of the density of the bristles it creates a thicker coverage. You can also get them in the UK now from Cocktail cosmetics, this brush is £15.95.

My second favourite of the month has got to be a Mac lipstick in the colour chatterbox. I purchased it online thinking because it was an amplified finish that it would be a lot brighter than it is. It's a muted dusky rose pink colour with a semi matte finish and to tell you the truth I love it! Since August has been a month of late nights and early mornings and humid weather, I have been liking the simple make up look, and this lipstick is the perfect finish.

Third on the list is the Primark fashion (false) nails. I've already done a post on these here. Although my favourite ones this month have been pretty french manicure ones with a bow.

I also picked these ones up recently which I can't wait to try!

They're only £1.00!!

The oh- so famous Urban Decay Naked palette is fourth favourite this month. Specifically the colours virgin and sin. I love putting virgin all over the eyelid for a simple easy eye and sin as a highlight especially on my cupids bow. They're fantastic quality eyeshadows that you definitely won't regret buying.
Last on the list this month is Rimmel wake me up concealer . Now, I used to hate this product, loved the foundation but this did nothing for me, I didn't feel like it was thick enough to cover anything. But this month I tried it again and have been loving using it under my eyes to cover any dark circles. It's a lot thinner consistence in comparison to the collection lasting finish concealer but blends gorgeously for a nice finish.

Hope you enjoyed! What's you favourites this month? Cam xxxx

Glitter wars.

Glitter nail varnishes are the bomb. You know they are. I love using glitter on an accent nail or just layering them on every nail and having disco ball nails, haha. 3 of my favourites so far are-
Models own- ibiza mix (on the right)
Models own- Boogie nights (on the left)
Barry M nail paint- Amethyst glitter.

One coat.

Two coats.

Three coats.
These polishes are ideal for top coats or on their own. Barry M's nail paint in Amethyst glitter is definitely the most opaque out of three, both model's own polishes came up similar in opacity.
Ibiza mix is a good one to layer on top of bright colours, it has multiple colours of glitter in it, and different sizes. Boogie nights looks good over purple's mainly, it has different sizes and shapes of lilac, pink and blue. The lilac pieces can look holographic when it's in the light. I love using glitter on an accent nails, and the chunkiness of the models own glitters make them really stand out.

Glitters are my favourite type of polish and these three are probably my favourite ones. Although I hate waiting for polish to dry and the Models own ones aren't exactly fast. The Barry M polish definitely dries quicker. Another problem that comes with glitter polish is taking it off, although I prefer the model's own colours the barry M one comes off easier.

The Models own ones retail at £5.00 and the Barry M £2.99.
You can pick up the Barry M one here, and the models own ones here.

What do you think about glitter nail polishes? Which are your fave?

Why is my handbag so heavy?!

I thought today I'd do a 'What's in my bag post'. *Little disclaimer* like all bloggers say, I haven't sorted out what's in my bag, this just happens to be what's in there.

I'm such a hoarder, my bag constantly weighs a ton. I bought the bag years ago from Miss Selfridge but it's a pretty basic bag just with the big gold chain on the front.

So what's in there I hear you ask...

A good few make up products, haha, including

  • a Real Techniques brush
  • No.7 powder brush
  • 2 face powders- Maybelline fit me and Max factor one.
  • 3 lip products- Sleek lipstick in Mystic, Mac lipstick in Party Parrot and a rosy lips Vaseline.
  • 2 mascara's- Mini Benefit they're real and Maybelline the Colossal volum' express cat eyes.
  • Benefit Sun beam ( which I'm loving at the moment!)
  • Nail Varnish from Revlon- Strawberry Electric.

  • 2 pairs of sunglasses, a glasses case which doesn't match either pairs of sunglasses. (My normal glasses would normally be in there too, but I'm currently wearing them, haha,)
  •  Denman hairbrush.
  • J-Lo glowing perfume. This is my handbag perfume because to be honest it's not my favourite so I don't mind carrying it in there so much.
  • 1 Pen.
  • A half a pack of Extra chweing gum- Spearmint ;)
  • One bobble and a few bobby pins.
  • A pair of earrings from New Look I think, a ring, toe ring from River Island and a Virgo necklace.

  • Clinique mirror- super handy size!
  • My house and car keys.
  • My purse-  which is the brand BIBA and I bought it in House of fraser about a year ago.

Hope you enjoyed the sneak peak inside my bag!
What's in your bag?

Flake off! Korres fig body scrub.

After using up all of my Sanctuary hot body polish (which I love and have featured here) I decided I'd try something different. I picked this up in T.K Maxx for £2 which was super cheap! I think they're between £10-£14 normally. It claims- to effectively remove dead cells and improves microcirculation. It has 90.6% natural content. The exfoliating grains are naturally derived. It has no parabens, no silicones and no phthalates. You also get 150ml! One thing that I'm pretty picky with is scent. If a product smells horrible I find it super hard to use or get over. This luckily doesn't smell too bad, I wouldn't say it necessarily smells like fig, but it is sweet and 'earthy' if you get what I mean? haha. It's full of exfoliating beads, which really help scrub of any flaky, dry, dead skin. I'd say it's quite harsh but I prefer that to exfoliators where the beads barely exist. I mainly use this all over my body but I have used this on my face when I've felt I really needed it, it didn't break me out and was fine. I do like this product and probably would buy it again, it does the job and that's what you want from an exfoliator right? You can get it here.

Have you tried any of the Korres body scrubs? Cam xxxx

Spring/Summer drugstore lip colours.

Now that summer's sort of here, I've been wearing brighter lip colours and really loving them! So I figured I'd share with you which are my favourites. I can't wait to dye my hair blonde again, I love the contrast between my hair and bright lipstick in the summer.

My top picks are:

Models own neon matte- the coral one? I'm not sure of the name, sorry but I think this one is pink hawaiian.
Revlon colorburst lipgloss- strawberry 006
Revlon just bitten lip stain- Flame.
Revlon lip butter- sorbet

From top to bottom- Revlon's lip butter in Sorbet, Models own matt brite- coral colour, Revlon just bitten lip stain- Flame, Revlon colorburst lipgloss- strawberry.

Models own hyper matt brite lipstick- £6

Models own hyper matt brite lipstick is one of my all time favourites. It's awesome! This shade will suit most skintones, I love the contrast between this, pale skin and blonde hair. It lasts on the lips a good 3-4 hours, but leaves a stain and wears off nicely. I really like matte lipsticks, especially ones that arent too drying, which this one isn't. It glides on effortlessly and has a gorgeous finish. I have heard some people complain that the packaging looks cheap, but personally I like it and it feels durable and good quality. They're only £6 in Boots. I'd say they were close to mac lipsticks, I will definitely be buying more!

Revlon Colorburst lipgloss-

This lipgloss was a bit of a random purchase I must say. I went to Boots one day during school and was persuded to pick it up by friends. It's a muted red colour with bit of a pink hint to it. It has got shimmer in it, but it's not really noticeable on the lips. One thing I have to mention is the scent- I hate the scent of it, it's a plasticy/ fake fruit kind of smell. Luckily it's not too strong. It wears off nicely. It's opaque enough to not have to wear lipstick, but sheer enough to look good with lipstick underneath! I like to wear it with Clinique's red-y- to wear lipstick (blog post coming soon!)

Revlon Just Bitten lip stain- £7.99

Revlon just bitten lip stains are one of my favourite products to use during the summer. They literally last all day and all night! They're amazing. Sometimes I have to re- apply but not very often. Flame is a bright, red/pink/orange colour, it's really unique. The only down side to this lip stain I'd say is the balm, it snaps far too easily, I have a few and all of the balm bits have snapped off.

Revlon Lip butter- £7.99

I really wasn't as impressed by the Revlon lip butters as everyone else but I saw this shade in Superdrug and I thought I'd give them another go.I believe this is one of their new shades for summer, anyway I ended up really liking this one, it's not the usual pink I go for because it's slightly more muted. But I find it's opaque enough to leave some sort of colour on your lips. With a lip liner underneath I love it even more. But I think this would be a good bright colour for someone who isn't as confident or who is only just beginning to wear bright colours.

Thanks for reading guys! Cam xxxx

Current favourites!

Current favourite number 1 is- Soap and Glory bright here bright now instant- radiance energy balm (Long name I know). I tried this about 6 months ago and hated it, but I decided to give it another go and I love it. I think the problem was before I had very oily skin, now that's calmed down a bit it works well for my skin. I'd definitely recommend it if you have combination/dry or slightly oily skin.

Numero dos is- Clinique blended face powder (shade 03.) I'm not sure how I acquired this powder but I've never really used them up until now, I just wasn't happy with my Maybelline fit me powder, so I decided to give this ago- Love it! Blog post with more details will be up soon!

Number 3 is a rather hyped product in the blogesphere which is Sinful colors nail colours. I believe they are readily available in the USA, but only recently have Boots began to sell them. I'm not a huge fan of painting my nails or spending a fortune on buying nail polish. Expensive or cheap it will chip within one or two days guaranteed, and I am so impatient waiting for them to dry. But these dry quickly and are only £1.99. Great products!

Number 4 is Real Techniques stippling brush. Nearly everyone now owns this brush, but I can definitely see why, it's fantastic quality, and it works well. I've been loving it for foundation this month.

Number 5 is a Revlon Colorstay which I actually picked up in a local store where everything is cheaper that it normally would be because the label on the packagings wrong, or the ingredients list is slightly worng etc. Since I'm praying for a bit of sun, I thought I'd just pretend it was sunny and use a bit of bronzer, it's a gorgeous product that is longwearing and gives such a nice bronzed/ tan look. It's available at amazon.

Number 6 is again a product nearly everyone has and it's the HD brows kit in Vamp. Not too much to say, just that's it's great, gives a very professional look and the colour I use is rich brown. You can get it from the HD Brows website.

Number 7 + 8 tie in together because I love using them together. They are the Collection shimmer shades in 2. Blushalicious and elf shimmer palette in sheer sunrise. The Collection shimmer shades give a lovely flush to the cheeks, I mix three of the shades together but I don't use the bottom colour on the right because I think it makes the blush too orange for my skintone. elf's shimmer palette has 4 different highlighters that all make you look dewy and fresh. I love them! I tend to use either the frosty white or the pink, on my cheekbones. Both products are very affordable aswell. You can get the elf one here, and the collection one here.

And last but not least number 8 is the beauty uk eyeshadow and eyeliner collection number 2. My friend persuaded me into buying this and I'm glad she did. To be honest I didn't think it was going to be very good at all but I was highly surprised, the eyeshadows are great quality and highly pigmented. They are slightly messy to work with because they're quite loose but for the price they're great. I'd definitely buy more of them. I haven't used the eyeliner on my eyes yet, but if it's anything like the eyeshadows I will be more than thrilled! You can get it here for £3.99.
