GARNIER- Ultimate blends first impressions!

Hey guys!

Browsing the aisles of Tesco I came across Garnier's new ultimate blends range. I decided to pick up 'The sleek restorer' shampoo and conditioner which promises super-sleek smoothness. Being somebody who has very damaged, bleached hair this sounded good to me! They both also contain coconut oil and cocoa butter. So the night after I bought them I jumped in the shower lathered the shampoo into my hair and rinsed it off, I then put the conditioner on and left it on for around a minute (it's hard to judge the time when your in the shower…) and washed it out. And I have to be honest and say I was definitely impressed with the results. I don't want to write a full review since I've only used them twice but so far I'm pretty keen!

I'll pop back in another few washes and let you know exactly what I think of them!
Hope you enjoyed this quick post! Let me know if any of you guys have tried anything from this range.

November Favourites- Beauty edition.

Hey guys!

First of all, I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by! We're in December which means only one thing is on my mind= Christmasss! I love this time of year, it's definitely my favourite season. Anyway aside from that, today I have my November favourites for you! I have a couple of bits but not too much as I've been putting money aside for Christmas presents instead of treating myself too much.

My first favourite this month is something I've looked at a few times in Boots but for some reason never bought it and that product is Bourjois' Volume clubbing waterproof mascara in the colour Black party. This time of year sends my eyes into a watery mess pretty much every time I step outside. The cold weather makes my eyes water, so I figured it's about time to buy a waterproof mascara and considering Bourjois mascara's have never let me down, I figured I'd give this one a go! The packaging is nice, easy  to open, easy to use, overall good. I also noticed on the back that Bourjois tested this product at foam parties, which definitely helped me pick this one, If it lasted a foam party then it must be good right? Well I have to say I like this mascara, it gives nice volume and length to my eyelashes and sticks well through all the tears but is also relatively easy to get off with make up remover at night. I like the brush because it's bristles rather than plastic and it's a cone type shape where the bristles get longer and thicker at one end and get thinner and shorter towards the tip- ideal for getting into the inside corner lashes.  My only fault with this mascara is I wish it was darker, I like to add a darker colour underneath just to make it deeper.

My second favourite is another new product to me and it is Rimmel's spark it up! Gleaming eye darkening liner in the shade 300 ultraviolet. I picked this up from a local beauty outlet for just £1.29 which was a steal! I have been loving this liner towards the end of November simply because it's different to your usual black eyeliner. It gives your make up a different edge and I like that. It's dark enough to look good but has a purple hint that bring out the colour of my eyes. I really suggest picking it up if you come across- it's such a nice product and superb for the party season.

Another Rimmel product made it into this month's favourites which is a re-discovery for me. It is the Stay matte long lasting pressed powder. This powder is all round great, it is long lasting, it keeps my face matte nearly all day and it's a super reasonable price. It doesn't go cakey if you touch up and doesn't cling too much to dry patches. Its a great staple for anyone's make up bag.

Since it's in the autumn/winter I decided to dig out the maroon/burgundy make up products in my collection and one that I'm loving again this year is a creme blend blush from Mac in the shade Restores dazzle! I love creme blushes and this colour is perfect for this time of year. I do believe this one was part of a collection but I'm sure Mac do other similar colours. A stippling brush is great for this type of product. You really don't need a lot at all.

My final favourite for November was the Real Techniques pixel-point eyeliner brush. I've neglected gel eyeliner for a long time and I'm glad to be using it again. For a while I took a break from wearing any black liner but I have to admit I miss it. This brush is perfect for a precise line. It's great with black eyeshadow aswell as gel liner. I love using this brush much more than any other liner brushes I have, I highly suggested picking it up. I bought it with the eye set from Real Techniques. They're great quality brushes for the price!

So that's the end of my favourites for November, I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you in January for my December favourites! Merry Christmas if you don't come back for another post before then!

No more dry skin I tell you!

These are the 3 products I have recently fallen in love with. I don't think I have anything horribly bad to say about them. Well I suppose I should start by telling you what they are eh?

The first product is by Sanctuary, it is their hot sugar scrub. I was first introduced to this by my sister literally years ago! She gave me a few samples of it, and recently I found one that I hadn't used in my sample box (yes, I am being organised, hahahha,). It's basically a scrub that once you rub it on your body it warms up- it's magic! I have no idea how this works, but it doesn't stay warm for very long, but still it's quite nice. It isn't too scratchy like some exfoliators but it does the job and leaves my skin feeling super soft! It also smells amazing! Quite citrusy. I bought mine from Boots. It is £11.50 but worth it, considering you need a small amount and i'm just about half way and I bought mine around august time.

It smells gorgeous!

Item number 2 is *drum roll please* Lush Turkish delight shower smoothie. I'd never tried any of their shower smoothie's before and I really don't know why?! I did get this in a christmas box and I am really hoping it's one of their permanent products. It's basically like a solid/cream version of a shower gel. The texture reminds a bit of frozen yoghurt, and it smells a bit like frozen yoghurt mixed with roses. It a pretty fresh, clean scent, that I don't think too many people would be offended by. It so creamy and smooth, it really is Lush. You can buy it on their website for £15.95 where you get 200g. I have the smaller version but I will definitely get the bigger one, once I finish this one. You really only need a small bit aswell, so it lasts for ages.

And last but definitely not least is Lush Ro's Argan body conditioner. I really really really like this product. Originally I thought the idea of applying it on wet skin and then rinsing it off was a bit pointless and extra time I didn't really need to spend procrastinating in the shower. But it makes such a difference. My skin feels sooooo soft it's unreal. The scent is a little off putting for me, I'm not the biggest rose fan but it's not too strong and I think I'll put up with it for the results. It contains most of the things you'd like to see in a body lotion or butter, i.e argan oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, almond oil etc. And if you take 5 of these pots back empty to Lush they'll give you one fresh mask free! And obviously this isn't tested on animals which is another huge bonus! Also I have the small version but the full size is 225g which costs £15.50- but it is totally worth it. You can buy it online too!
