June empties!

I know, I'm sorry I'm late with this post. But then again, better late than never eh? So let's get started. I was pretty impressed with myself this month, I finished quite a few products. I'm going to try and keep it brief, we've got a lot to get through, hahha.

The first product is the - Olay gentle cleansers conditioning milk. It's for normal/dry combination skin. The bottle contains 200ml.
This product was a bit of a meh for be, I don't really think it did much. It was ok, it didn't break me out but as far as cleansing it's not the best I've ever used.
- Garnier moisture match- dull skin 1.5ml.
This sample came in my magazine and I really enjoyed it, I'll definitely buy the full size soon.

- Superdrug 100% pure cotton wool round pads- 100 pads.
A basic product, but a good one, they're a good size for removing make up and nail varnish. It's likely I will buy these again.

- Max factor face finity 3 in 1 foundation- primer, concealer and foundation in one. SPF 20 light ivory 40- 30ml.
It's not that often I get through a whole foundation but I liked this quite alot. It did have quite a thick consistency which I liked and the coverage was good. It didn't cling to dry patches or make me look oily. I'd definitely consider re-purchasing this in the autumn/winter.

- YSL everlong mascara- 9ml.
This is a great product, I loved this. It doesn't give you clumpy eyelashes and it doesn't flake off. It's an all round good product in my eyes!

- Mac penultimate eye liner- rapidblack- 1.0g.
Again I loved this product! The tip is super thin which makes it so easy to create a good line. It's a deep black colour and it's not overly matte or 'shiny'. I'll definitely be buying this again!

- Dove go fresh anti-perspirant deodrant- 0% alcohol 48h, energising grapefruit and lemongrass scent. 250ml. Another love, the scent reminds me of summer and it works. I'll re- purchase this again.

- Sure women crystal clear diamond- 24hr, 0% alcohol. Incredible white mark protection. I've not noticed any problems with the white marks, all in all it's on of the best deodrants for me. You get 250ml. The can claims it is special edition but It's normally in shops. A good all round deodrant, it smells good and works well, again I'd re-purchase this deodrant.

- LUSH turkish delight shower smoothie- 90g,  First of all Lush have an offer where if you take back 5 pots you get free face mask which normally cost around £5. I love this product and I'm looking to buy it again, it's smells lovely and feels super smooth on the skin.

- Ro's Argan body conditioner- 45g. This product is similar to the new Nivea in shower conditioner, although this is definitely thicker and in my opinion works better. It does leave a smooth layer over your skin, slightly like an oil but not as greasy. I'd love to buy this again.

High end foundations- worth the money?

I have to admit that I am a bit of a foundation junkie. My skin is definitely something I love finding new products for. I am addicted to buying foundations. So here's a small review on each of a few high end foundation that are a part of my collection and probably the most raved about by other bloggers. Hope you like it!

Clinique's superbalanced makeup, is a medium coverage but it is buildable. Unfortunately I can't use this anymore or clinique face products in general, they break me out terribly. I like the foundation though as a whole, its medium coverage is something I enjoy and it isn't too dewy or matte. This foundation gives a smooth finish whether you have dry or oily skin. It is oil free which makes it ideal for combination skin, I'd recommend this if your skin isn't too sensitive. I do find this foundation does transfer quite easily even after powdering but over all I could deal with that. You can buy this foundation for £21.50 for 30ml.

Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation- A branch out from award winning complexion highlighter the touche eclat radiant touch. This certainly delivers in the brightening aspect. It has a light buildable coverage with a soft dewy finish. It claims to target shadowy areas and highlight the contours of the face. Weightless perfection. It definitely lives up to the claims. It's light but covers most problems, and it's buildable. They have released 22 shades which cover a range of skin tones. The £29.00 price tag is quite scary for the bank account but it's worth it, a little goes a long way with this product.


One of my life savers when my skin breaks out is my Estee Lauder double wear. It's described by Estee Lauder as a medium buildable coverage which I'd definitely agree with. It's perfect for getting a completely perfect/airbrush finish.  Even if I don't use this all over my face, I like to mix it with lighter foundations to make them slightly thicker for a fuller coverage. There are 31 shades, a great mix for any skin tone. It'll set you back £27.50 for 30ml. Again you need the smallest amount of this for your whole face, so a bottle will last you a long while. I usually use my hands if I want a slightly lighter coverage or if I want full coverage I'll use the real techniques buffing brush. The only downside to this product is that there is no pump, it's just a pour out function, which means I end up pouring too much and then wasting it. It's semi- matte which I really like, especially considering if I breakout my skin becomes a lot oilier. I would definitely recommend that everyone should have one of these in their collection. I will re-purchase once this runs out.

Chanel vitalumiere aqua is a bloggersphere favourite. It has light coverage and photographs really nicely. It's perfect for people who really only need to cover discolouration or slight marks. I wouldn't say it's very buildable because I find this foundation can ocsidise on my skin throughout the day. I prefer using something similar to a beauty blender to apply this foundation rather than a brush, simply because a sponge works it into the skin better. It'll cost you £32.00 which is pretty steep! I believe there are only 9 colour options which is pretty poor compared to the other foundation choices. I personally prefer to mix this foundation with Dr jart+ water fuse beauty balm, I find this gives me a better colour and slightly heavier coverage which I prefer. I unfortunately don't think I would re-purchase this item simply because I need a heavier/ fuller coverage.

The sensual skin tinted balm from Kevyn Aucoin is a light coverage tinted balm. I have the colour SB02 which has a lot of yellow tones. It's very similar to a tinted moisturiser. This is lovely for the summer, although I struggle to be able to wear this because of the acne scars I want to cover, I do like it when I don't want to pile on a loads of make up. The shade I have isn't a prefect match for me as it's too yellow, and I feel it gets more yellow as the day progresses. The packaging is definitely something that swayed my descision when purchasing it, it's a plastic tube with a 'squishy' (the only possible word to describe it! haha) clear front. It claims to have ingredients derivative of liquorice which soothes and calms the skin. I do agree that it soothes and calms the skin. It's also SPF20, although it still photographs relatively well with flash.



I've saved the best for last, NARS sheer glow foundation is my favourite out of these foundations. It's probably my all time favourite foundation. It has medium/ full coverage, it's buildable and easy to apply! I recommend using your hands to apply this or something like the real techniques expert face brush. I personally find these two the best, by using your hands, your warming the liquid making it blend easier. Remember to shake it before using. You get the standard 30ml for £30.50 and a choice of 20 shades. They also do a matte version for those with oily skin or who just desire a matte finish. This doesn't transfer easily once it dries and lasts all day. I really love this foundation and would rate it as probably my favourite foundation so far. Rimmel wake me up foundation is a good dupe, but I'd definitely suggest buying the Nars sheerglow if it's within your budget.
